Fuck you, fuck me, fuck ev-ery-bo-dy! Yeah!

This blog hasn't been updated in 11 days. Oh gosh. And the last blog was about Tron. Oh boy.
I'm so sorry.

So, what have I been doing these passed few (many, actually) days? Schoolwork. Homework. Oh, and a lot of stuff for school. AP Microeconomics is beginning to get confusing and Spanish is just getting more boring. I also haven't been able to get anything set up for selling. It'll happen eventually but not before Christmas, like I wanted. Oh well.

HOWEVER!

I've recently learned how to play "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young. Also, I've learned some other stuff we'll cover. How will we cover this you ask?

Well, I am currently typing this blog from none other than my brand new Macbook Pro!! FUCK YEAH!!!

YEAH! OH YEAH! OH YEAH!

We've got the equipment, peeps. Now we just need to find time to record some stuff and I'll have it mixed and mastered in no time! Don't worry, guys! We have everything under control!

YEAH! OH YEAH! OH YEAH! (now do you wanna touch me?)

Love,
Nicole

oof. And TRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't updated here in a LONG time. I actually had to go back and check to see what color i was (pathetic). Anyway as you may know i am a HUGE fan of the band Daft Punk. I am also a nerd, so I was also excited when i found out about TRON: LEGACY. And then, knowing these two things, you can imagine my excitement about the fact that Daft Punk is doing the music to the new tron movie. Well then. Today the soundtrack THAT THEY WROTE was released. Oh and btw this music video too. (just an FYI your brain may explode from sheer AWESOMENESS.) So i downloaded the album on iTunes (i'd had it preordered for months) and i listened to it. Not too shabby. So that's that.
-Mike
P.S. how did you guys think any of us WOULDN'T know all of BR?
P.P.S. I moved. so I'm not sure if we could have practice at my new place.

Charlie McDonnell

So Charlie McDonnell, love of my life, has a new album out. It's called "This is Me". You can listen to it FOR FREE here if you so desire. I bought a physical copy from DFTBA. It shipped yesterday and I cannot wait for it to arrive. He makes a Bo Burnham reference in the song "Hayley G Hoover" which is greatly appreciated.

I'm a ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch CHERRY BOMB

C'mon, I know you're not disagreeing...
So how is everybody doin'? Let me just be honest. I have nothing fun to blog about. It needs to be updated sooo...
A'ight it turns out that I am going to be selling some stuffs! I need to make room and I need money, so I am selling a few personal belongings. Mainly, Guitar Hero stuff. I have both drum sets for GH and Rockband and I want them OUT. So, I'm gathering all (but my favorite guitar controller) musical instruments for these games. I have no use for them anymore. All the stuff I have is for PS2. LAME. So, I need to update stuff so I can still play my favorite game ever. (I only really want to get GH Warriors of Rock because Joan and Cherie Currie re-recorded "Cherry Bomb" for the game and I really want to play it but they don't make anything for PS2 anymore) (Thus the title of this blog) I am keeping GH I and II for PS2 and my Kramer Pacer that came with GH III. That's it. It'll be sad to see everything go, but I'll be so happy when I get all new stuff. Besides, new equipment is necessary for the recording studio sooo...
You'll be happy to know that Marlee and I know all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I was falling asleep on her bed while she was uploading pictures to her computer. She didn't want me falling asleep (didn't stop me) so she walked over and started singing, "Is this the real life, is this just fantasy..." I couldn't resist. I kept singing. I was awake. Damn. We finished of course. We even included the little "any way the wind blooooows" and then the crash (I'm pretty sure it's a gong) at the end. Pretty epic. I'm the spitting image of Brian May, I'm telling you.

Love,
Nicole

The E-Mail I Just Sent Doug Kandl

"Humor is often linked to shared experience. Like a guy gets up and says "Have you noticed that public restrooms have really inefficient hand dryers?" Oh my god, yes I have. Hahaha really good point. They should fix that. It's good to know that somebody finally gets me cause my wife divorced me which unconciously forced me to lose all sense of self. So it's nice to think about hand dryers and not that cheating whore.

And if I die happy the situation will be auto-erotic exfixiation. I hate my life and it hates me back and my friend is black but I don't know what to call him so I just call him "What up, Jamal?", even though his name is Steve. I hate my job, I hate my life. Hate my kids, I hate my wife. Jews but no I do it, Judas beat me to it. I'm slowly slipping into a solidsipstic coma and I masturbate cause I'm the only one whose standards are low enough to fuck me.

What's funny?"

And if you liked that, check out Bo Burnham because he wrote it.
Also, check out this page on dougkandl.com....(it's really my tumblr.)
If you don't want to go to his page just for my tumblr, go to this page. If you do click on this page you're a "lazy ass" as  Roxie Richter from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World aka the love of my life.

Gobble Gobble

Greetings!
I hope all the Americans out there had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I sure did! Let's just say it involved talking a little too in depth about dark meat. (wtf??) Anywayzz....
We didn't write a goddamn thing but we did have a huge get together with those we call the Nuclear Suspects. All of our friends who have returned from college for the weekend gathered for some awesome fun. We'll let Marlee have a discussion with you about what happened towards the end of that evening...
Since I posted last, I have put together some ideas that I really would like to write out so that should be awesome. Soon (hopefully) we'll have a practice space/studio to work together in and we can actually start RECORDING some stuff for you guys. Until then we have to work out band meetings and really start getting a little EP together.
What I love most about Thanksgiving weekend (besides Pumpkin Pie*) is when my favorite radio station, Q104.3, does a countdown of the top 1,043 classic rock songs of all time. However, this year there seems to be a little mix up. According to the online list, all of the Pink Floyd songs that end up in the top 50 were in........the 400s O_O I saw this abomination and wanted to cry. COMFORTABLY NUMB WAS RANKED NUMBER 417!!!! AND WAS BEAT BY JOAN JETT!!!! WTFFFFF!?!?!?!? You guys, this upsets me soo fuckin' much. Comfortably Numb is in the top 10 EVERY YEAR. What happened?? All these shitty songs are up first! It's not right! Once I saw this I decided to not even listen to the rest of the countdown. I haven't once. I have a baaaad feeling Stairway will end up being 2nd and Born To Run, ohhhhh Born To Run (gag) will be.......*gulp* FIRST!!! AHHHH THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!!!
Excuse me, I'm so sorry. Where on earth are my manners?
Well I will be listening to my own top 20 or so at around 7 p.m. so I can pretend that my life is in order. Also, I mentioned that Joan beat Pink Floyd. I love Joan dearly, don't get me wrong, but she doesn't come close to the haunting craft of a Floyd song. Apparently to the tri-state area, she does. UGH I HATE PEOPLE. Now I need to go listen to Joan Jett and Pink Floyd before I start blubbering all over the place.

Love you all.

Nicole

*the song AND the actual pie. look it up mofos.

Important? Hardly.

Because I haven't blogged on here in a very long time, I will right now. I really don't have anything to say except that I watched A Very Potter Musical last night with Nicole and I couldn't stop laughing. It was like that time I saw Mike Birbiglia live. That's pretty much all for now.

AHEM!

WELL THEN! Actually I was wondering about the posting twice in a row thing. I had looked at the older ones, and I think Marlee did it once. BUT NO MATTER! See I can FORGIVE for things like this. AHEM! But anyway tomoorow I have to make up for the auditions I missed the last 2 days. Wish me luck!

Update?

'Tis that time of year again, eh? Oh the holidays... Hopefully, we'll get some stuff written over Thanksgiving break and do some recording/mastering magic over winter break. This would be the ultimate goal, but I highly doubt that'll be achieved.
What exactly am I updating you ask? Well, to tell you the truth I don't like that Mike blogged twice in a row (even if he did want to discuss his sprained ankles which I'm sure ALL of you care about deeply *rolls eyes*). Just thought I'd let put that out there.
Tomorrow, Marlee and I are going to a concert in the city which should be a blast. I'm excited. I've been so damn busy with schoolwork and I can't take it. I miss the summer and the time I had to just sit in my room and play guitar until 3 a.m. A night in the city should do me good.
In case I don't see you, Happy Thanksgiving All! (and an even better Black Friday 'cause let's face it, that's the 2nd best day of the year). Prepare for some new material about love, sanity (well, lack of), and hatred (well, surplus of).

Love,
Nicole

Anyway, I'm writing a song too, it's about a certain girl ;) I think you know her. And that's it for now. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I will have a funny video up soon for a math project. It involves houses, rich people, and RAPTORS!

I need good music, good good music

Anyone get the JJ reference there? I know, I know. Shut up and get to the post. (Good Music - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts <3)

Speaking of good music, I promised you a little while ago that new music would be coming soon and TADA! See? Would I lie to you?

Well, kind of because this was something I wrote many months ago and just recently found, polished, and thought you may like it. We may record it at some point, not sure. I'll keep it grey so it'll be easier to read. Italics are because I want to be fancy. Comments anybody?

Anything (that’s actually the title)
It’s just something about you that I can’t explain
I look you in the eyes and I feel this pain
You’re ripping and pulling at my veins
My heart hangs its head in shame
You know I’d be there to hold you until sunrise
Until the innocence came back to your eyes
It kills me to know I can’t get to you in time
Boy, I’d do anything
No matter what I do you’re never satisfied
Its come to the point where I don’t wanna try
I’ve become silent and you ask me why
Boy, I’d do anything
You’re all I have without a lie
It’s you and me until the day we die
You’re just too busy with your own cherry pie
Boy, I’d do anything
I’ve pushed you away from the first goodbye
It hurts to see your Jeep drive by
And even though I key scratched the side
Boy, I’d do anything
You’re the first one to hear me cry
You know how to make me feel alright
Only you know how to hold me tight
Boy, I’d do anything
It’s just something about you that I can’t explain
I look you in the eyes and I feel this pain
Tied down with a ball and chain
My heart hangs its head in shame
You’re the one I know I love
The things I’d do, I wouldn’t get enough
I’ll keep you safe whenever it gets tough
Boy, I’d do anything
Your phone rings and you can’t keep a bluff
It’s always about you, everything ain’t enough
I’m ignored but I want to be loved
Boy, I’d do anything
You’re putting a little too much in your cup
It’s not up to you to do his make-up
Sit down and breathe I’ll put on the cuffs
Boy, I’d do anything
Missing you is so unjust
You know you should save me from this trust
I’ll lose everything if I must
Boy, I’d do anything
You can’t take it when it gets a little rough
I’m always here but to you it ain’t enough
When you couldn’t talk I knew I’d lost my love
Boy, I’d do anything
There’s something about you I just can’t explain
You’ve pierced me though I feel no more pain
I’m numb you see from the weight of these chains
Missing the heart to break away
So, I’ll just do anything
For those innocent eyes,
Strong ties
Holding on tight
And feeling alright
Boy, I’d do anything
But please just tell me what is it that I just can’t explain
Love,
Nicole

A Letter to Mike

Dear Mike,

Remember that time I told you that we use cell phones to communicate with each other? Well, if you want to have band practice, text me. Usually, I don't stay up to date with all of the blog posts on here and it was by chance that I saw the one you posted. So just text me if you want to have practice. I have to schedule around COLLEGE and MY JOB and stuff. It's just not that easy.

Secondly, remember when I told you that this is not J-Date. THIS IS NOT J-DATE! Again, talking about your lovely lady and your plans with her is cool on Facebook, or Twitter, or TEXT MESSAGE. Plus, I can't get a date so stop rubbing it in my face.

-marlee
:) <3
Ok so I've got a date on Saturday but I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THEN! AH! Here's where I wish I was a Time Lord. Blech. ALSO, WHEN WILL WE HAVE BAND PRACTICE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blah. Ok my ADD's acting up. I g2g. Bye.

New Blog! (or a review of tumblr.com)

So I decided I'd try out the tumblr fad...AND I LOVE IT! I found posting difficult at first but I got the hang of it eventually. And also, you can either buy or pick out a free theme for your page. I bought a cheap one because I thought it look really nice. I recommend it for people who like to post their favorite silly little things.

My tumblr is MarleeRobinsonn Says Things Sometimes Tumblr.
This is tumblr's site.

Have some fun!

UKE! And Other Things!

So! I got a brand new Mitchell MU70 12-Fret Concert Ukulele as seen here. Also, the picture below was taken by Nicole. It is AH-MAZING.

So there was this guy at Guitar Center. His name was Brian. He was such a creeper. I was going to buy strings for Nicole and he was the cashier at the string station (thank you, Nicole). OK, so first off, he kinda invited Nicole behind the counter to look at the strings because she needed to choose what she wanted but he didn't really mean to and told her to "step away from the counter" (he didn't really say it like that). But she did find what she was looking for and now she can fix that string that she put on backwards (haha). Hey, OK, that was like 2 years ago so I'm allowed to put it on backwards. Not really, cause I didn't know what I did. It was just not a good idea. I don't know my left from my right or anything. ANYWAY!, he was sorta not helpful but he eventually was kinda helpful...maybe. So I was going to pay for the strings with my debit card and he "needed to see ID". I handed it to him and he said "Oh, you're not 21...but you are 18.", and I said "Do you have to be 21 to buy strings?", and he said "No". So yadayadayada and he read back my info to me (which I previously gave to the uke guy, Michael) and asked if my e-mail was right. Of course it was, I'm not retarded. My e-mail, for this blog's purposes only, is hpfan92@ figure it out.com. So he read that back to me and I was like "Yeah". Then he said, "Does hp stand for Harry Potter?", and of course I got excited and said "YES!", and he said "Nice.", and then, for unknown reasons, he said "Shhh". WHAT THE FUCK!? So basically, Guitar Center guy wanted this and he got none of it...except for my money and all of my information....

AND Mike, THIS IS NOT A DATING WEBSITE. THIS IS NOT EHARMONY OR J-DATE (the Jewish dating site). SO DO NOT TELL US ABOUT YOUR LADY FRIEND, though she is quite lovely.

Girl (look what you've done to me! sorry, Mike. reminded me of Davy Jones)

Ok so I posted those pics of my costume to Facebook and I met a girl :) her name's Sami and we'll be hanging out in the beginning of November :) I really like her. Anyway I'm posting some pics of the guitar so you can see it. Anyway I just wanted to say that I really like this girl.
-Mike

Halloween

Ok so I have the AWESOMEST costume for Halloween:
YES I'M DOCTOR WHO! I got the Sonic Screwdriver and everything. AND I MET A NEW NERDFIGHTER BECAUSE OF THE COSTUME! :D so I am very happy :). The new guitar is AWESOME! That's it for now

Juanes?

Greetings!
Due to the fact that I have a study now instead of Calculus, I don't have homework and am thus able to blog it up!
So the title of this?
Juanes is a hispanic singer/songwriter that is quite amazing. I know nothing else about him except one song of his: No Creo en el Jamás
This song was first introduced to me last December by my older brother who would play this in his car non-stop. He started taking Spanish classes in college and I guess he thought listening to Spanish lyrics would somehow help him. Anyway, I questioned him one day, "wtf were you just listening to?" He played me the song and I couldn't stop singing it, even if I didn't quite understand it myself. It was addicting.

I knew enough Spanish to know he was saying I don't believe in but my brother and I were puzzled on what he couldn't believe. What was jamás? One evening, I took it upon myself to download the song and use the translator on my iPod to figure it out. Jamás is the Spanish word for never. I don't believe in never. I personally loved the title. As soon as I discovered it I texted my brother (who was only one floor above me). He was disappointed. He thought it would be something with a tad more meaning, but that's fine because it brings me to this:

Today, my Spanish teacher gave us an assignment to find a song in spanish (my eyes light up and I don't hear another word she says) yadda yadda yadda. I guess I'll find out exactly what I have to do tomorrow. At least I know what song I'm going to use!!!!!

Hoy voy a levantarme y no voy a resignar mi corazón
(today I'm going to rise and not get disheartened)

hacer lo que quise y no pude
(over what I wanted to do and wasn't able to)

No lo voy a aceptar hoy, voy a buscar estar mejor
(I'm not going to accept it today, I'm going to try to do better)

la vida tiene solución, aquí no hay nada imposible
(life has a solution, there's nothing impossible here)

no creo en el jamás.... no!
(I don't believe in never... no!)

Love,
Nicole

P.S. still working on (english) music, I promise. It'll be here soon. I also don't really want to proofread this again so I hope there aren't any mistakes. If there are, ignore them.

Several Things...

Several things have been on my mind as of right now.
  1. I just bought a Sons of Admirals t-shirt and I can't wait until it comes in the mail. I WILL photograph myself in it so you guys can see the awesome-ness of the shirt.
  2. Charlie McDonnell has a new video out of him being nerdy. Weird thing is, when he talked about his nerdy instruments, I couldn't help but notice that we both have a harmonica, a kazoo, and a Stylophone. And!, I will be investing my next paycheck in a ukulele.
  3. I had been waiting to watch this episode of the Golden Girls (in the future, will be referred to as GG) where Blanche and Rose's husband, Charlie, are found in bed in a photograph but several things have happened that have ruined this plan:
    • This morning while the episode was on, I fell asleep, therefore missing the entire thing.
    • The Hallmark movie is still on even though it is GG time (11:00 p.m.).
    • I have been using the downstairs computer so that I could purchase the Sons of Admirals t-shirt (mentioned above) instead of being upstairs due to a mishap with DFTBA.com aka I couldn't remove items from my cart and I had maybe 4 t-shirts in it by accident. I wasn't going to pay $80 + shipping for 3 other t-shirts that I didn't want.
So maybe, when I do finally go upstairs, GG will be on and I can enjoy that. I can also finish my iced tea that I took up to my room and never finished consuming.

I leave you with several links (many about me):

Charlie's Nerd-Off Video (which looks funny without the sound on)
MarleeRobinsonn Twitter
marleerobinsonnspellsthingsoddly blog (which needs to be updated)
MarleeRobinsonn Dailybooth (which sometimes has some funny posts/pictures)
Marblezzzzzz on Youtube (lots of funny favorites)

About these Youtube pages, I just bought a camcorder and will be making videos of myself for my Youtube page and videos with the others for TheSwinginNectarines page. The fun will begin in good time.

Hrm.

Well no one's posted in like a week... I didn't want to because I didn't want to post twice in a row but I think this is a special occasion. Nicole, Marlee, I got a  new guitar. An Ovation iDea to be exact. This is a good thing. The guitar is equipped with audio recording stuff and and mp3-player-like thing that will be perfect for when we can start recording. I'm still exploring its functions and equipment myself. So I just wanted to let you guys know. Oh and my dad says he's got basically an entire 8-track recording system in our basement. Also I was wondering if you wanted to just have the next practice at my house in my basement where all of the music stuff is (but we would need to watch our volume, language, and subject matter). Just letting you guys know.

New sounds

I wanted to post this because I saw that noone had updated in a while. Ok so I went to Sam Ash and bought a glass slide and a kazoo. So I've been playing around with the slide and it's pretty hard to do. I WILL GET THE HANG OF THIS! Anyway I heard a funny story and decided to share it with you guys. I was talking to my friend about my teachers and I told him about Mr. Bell (one of the three best teachers in the school- the other two being Mr. Chorozak and Mr. Eaton) and he said that he reminded him of his teacher who walked into class on Thursday and was like, "I've taught logarithms for 6 periods straight. Today we're going to learn the CORRECT way to eat an Oreo." How cool is that?! Oof. Tangent. Anyway hopefully we'll have practice soon and we'll start writing some real music. I've got some chord progressions, I just need some ideas as to lyrics.
-Mike

P.S. Nicole I need your phone #. I'll try to get it from you before school on Monday.

Calculus

You're probably looking at the title thinking, "wtf. math? really?" It's more than that though, I promise.

Despite the fact that I will be leaving my calculus class as of the 18th, I am still forced to participate. My teacher does not want anyone to drop it. I don't care what he wants. It's too challenging for me and looking at it makes me think I'm reading something in Chinese.

I'll certainly miss him though...

"Does anyone have any problems from the textbook they want to go over?"
"Mr. (insert teacher's name here), can we do 69?"
"I'm sorry, but my wife wouldn't approve of that."

The girl laughed, thank god. He honestly couldn't help himself. I admire him for that because I would have done the same thing. Since then however, he has omitted question #69 on all of our textbook assignments.

Quiz tomorrow! Time for another failure! *sigh*

Love,
Nicole

*UPDATE*
I got a 68% on that quiz. holla!

First band meeting!

Well last night was the first band meeting... which I think was 5% actually working and 95% pure hilarity. It was awesome though :) we had fun and I think Nicole started to write a song, and I as a joke started one called That's What She Said. Anyway, we had fun, and it was awesome. Hopefully we'll have another meeting soon and we will actually make music and it will be AWESOME. That's it for now.

Mike's Birthday! And Band News

So today is Mike Lawrence's birthday. It's his sweet sixteen. Anyway, today I decided that The Swingin Nectarines will be anything BUT mainstream. That's right, I said it. I'm an indie freak and I want to keep it that way. Meeting of the minds tonight...which is what we should call every band meeting!

So Nicole and Mike, "meeting of the minds tonight". Boy that sounds awesome.

Twitter

Ugh. So Marlee told me that we now have a Twitter and gave me the info for it, and that's when I realised... I DON'T HAVE ONE! >-<D: I don't know how. I just never got around to setting one up. So now I have to set up a Twitter... ah well. In other news, it's my birthday tomorrow! :D

College Visit!!!

So I took a little trip down the shore today to visit Monmouth University. The campus was beautiful and I am definitely applying there when the time comes. They even gave me this cool little backpack.

The coolest part was being able to visit particular areas of interest. I took it upon myself to go across the campus to see what was up with the Performing Arts Department. I'm glad I did because they had the BEST food (cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats). I sat through the little intro in one of the theaters they have on campus (soooo cool!). Towards the end one of the professors pointed out that the guy sitting all the way at the end of the stage (professor of music/ music industry and my desired area of study) was someone important. His name was Ron Frangipane. Ironically enough, he was an arranger for John Lennon (gasps from the audience). He was also a very good friend of John's which totally grabbed my attention, I mean John Lennon IS my Jesus. Ron also worked with the Rolling Stones as well and a whole bunch of other famous peeps. Now of course I'm already blown away and am dying to go to this school to be taught by this guy. He knows so much about the industry and I think it would benefit me highly if I went to school there. However, I would be forced to learn the piano -_- That's all right though! I'm massively excited about this whole thing.

Also, I'd like to give a congratulations to Michael Lawrence for being accepted into the band!

Gotta go! Top 104 classic rock songs from 2003 on q104.3 (best radio station ever). I also have to stalk eBay for more Melody Makers. There's a JJ model ending in like an hour. I have no chance, but I like to be a lurker.

Love,
Nicole

P.S. NEW MUSIC COMING VERY SOON! I PROMISE!!!

New member update

Ok so because Marlee's blue and Nicole's red, I shall be green. So I'm Mike, as Marlee said, and I'm a guitarnikeyboarwhizooist. I play a variety of instruments (I pick them up pretty quickly) and I'm going to update this frequently hopefully. Well that's it for now.
-Mike

P.S. If we do start making videos they will be pretty good. As for songs I've already got a couple of ideas and chord patterns that I've just written down when I was playing around with my guitar in my basement over the last few months.

New E-mail, Youtube Account, and Member!?

Yes, we have a new e-mail account. If you want to send us anything, anything at all, the e-mail address is theswinginnectarines@live.com.

We also have a new Youtube account. That is also theswinginnectarines. We haven't posted anything yet but in time, there will be amazing/silly things on there.

In other news, we added a new member to our "band" last night. His name is Mike Lawrence or Michael Lawrence. Not really sure what he likes to be called. Anyway, according to him, he can play "guitar/some keyboards/kazoo/jaw harp/slide whistle/harmonica. And I can sort of sing". I don't know if he'll be updating the blog. Possibly. But if this does happen, and when I say "this" I mean sweet love making music being written and played at a reasonable/dangerous level, you will be in for a treat.

2 Lovely Videos

I have had 2 songs stuck in my head for 2 days now. The first is called "Castles In The Snow" by Twin Shadow. It's a lot darker than the other song that won't leave my mind. I know nothing about him/them or whoever they are. All I know is that I found this on their Myspace:

"It's high noon in Brooklyn but its always midnight on southern, dead end suburban streets. Here, there is total silence except for the house at the very end, where inside a tin roof garage, teenagers are kissing for the first time. The humidity is too great, the boys peel off white t’s and the girls cheeks are flushed, beet red under the garage’s two fluorescent stripes. In a pond behind the house an alligator waits for a snow birds’ Pomeranian to take its night stroll. A child is sleep walking for the first time. Some one is running away for the last time. The music is too loud on the 12 D battery boom box radio, the cops are on their way. It’s at this moment you hear the music of Twin Shadow on a radio station transmitting suburban ghost dreams that sound like a slow motion shot of a cannon, singing about spirits, visions, and aural hallucinations cutting through the first American night."

All I know is that kind of made me like this song even more. Anyway, here's the link:

The other song that won't leave my head is "Saskia Hamilton" by Ben Folds and Nick Hornby. The handsome young man who made the video for this song is love of my life Charlie Mcdonnell. This song is extremely upbeat and written about American poet Saskia Hamilton. I think I might be in love with her now, too. I find myself writing the lyrics in my English notebook in school all the time and just sort of drifting off into a place where Saskia loves me too. Props to Ben Folds for coming out with what I think is another hit.

Gay Marriage

When I returned home this afternoon, I went on my computer to check my email. I clicked my little tab-y thingy for Yahoo! and in today's news was an article titled "Ask America votes split 50-50 on gay marriage". The article wasn't interesting to me in the least, but there was a  LINK! down below to vote in this 'Ask America' poll thing. The link sent me to this thing where you vote your opinion on...dun dun dun!!!.....gay marriage. (and other stuff but that didn't interest me either). I voted 'yes' in case you're wondering. Then I noticed I could add a lovely comment on what I chose. I could also see the comments of those who said 'no'.

That is what I wanted to discuss. I found it quite amusing to see the comments people have posted about this. It also angers me how our fellow Americans are so ignorant, hurtful, and disrespectful.

"Homosexuality is a perversion of nature. It is only a very small deviant part of any society that claims this choice regarding their sexual orientation is normal. It is a mental illness".

"it should absolutely not be legal for gays to marry and i don't give a rats @#$% what century we are living in, it should NEVER be legal for gays to be married and have the same rights as everyone else".

"I don't like gay people. I hope they burn in Hell. Too bad there are no death camps for them".

You get the point. I'm sorry, I know this is offensive, but I had to show you what some of these assholes are saying. I am also aware that none of this harassment is anything new. I just wanted to call attention to what I found today. There were some other comments that involved morals and how we shouldn't subject our children to the idea that same-sex marriage is an option, both of which pissed me off too. I do believe gays should have the right to marry because, like all human beings, they deserve to prove their love and trust to someone they truly and honestly do care about to the fullest extreme. It's funny how people will allow 'civil unions' but refuse to give away the word 'marriage'. A marriage between two people is meaningful, is it not? A civil union? like wtf? I know this blog isn't going to be read by a lot of people, but I still want to know what you think about this.

It kills me to know that religion is still playing a part in politics. We shouldn't have to vote for gay marriage. We never voted for straight marriage, did we? Besides that, I think it will eventually add to the tolerance of gays. Let's not forget the recent suicides, of KIDS nonetheless, because of teasing based on sexual orientation. How is it moral to bully someone into killing themselves? How is it moral to stop two people from showing their love for one another? How is it moral to believe innocent people shouldn't live?

All right. I think I've ranted enough to make my point. Even as a straight person, I don't think gay marriage or homosexuality is 'sick'. Those who oppose it will learn soon enough the error of their ways.

IN OTHER NEWS!!
check this shit out! ----> it's a rotating cat! but which way is it rotating??
I love this! and YES! I can make it change its rotation ON COMMAND!!! yeah!

Weezer Performs Fun Info

So on Pandora Radio just now, they had an ad for American Express card members to buy tickets to a Weezer show. One night, they'll be performing the Blue Album (possibly the best Weezer album). Another night, they'll be performing Pinkerton (the album most people dislike). I wonder what show the American Express card members will choose...

Random-esque Things

First off:
So last night my mother introduced herself to this guy I've been texting because he works at the bar she was at. Not only did she let him know that she's my mother but she showed him a photograph of me. Why you my ask? I have no idea but all I know is that I'm kinda angry. And she was kinda drunk at the time so maybe I can forget she did it. But he also told me at 3am last night that he "met my mom". Fail.

Secondly:
So I started my last year of high school a few weeks ago.... things haven't been going too hot. AP Calculus is what's really killing me. Basically, all the class does is tell you everything you've learned in the past is a useless lie. For example, zero divided by zero is not zero, but is in fact ANYTHING. My teacher gave us a strange example that I know I'll never forget. He equaled 0/0 to (and I'm not kidding here) YO MAMMA. And it totally worked. 0/0 = Yo Mamma. Its 100% logical. It kills me.

Thrice:
LOOK AT THESE FREAKIN HANDS.
You wouldn't know from this picture (or maybe you would) but these hands are extremely small. Like abnormally small. Like...people laugh at them. Like...when I got band gloves I got the smallest size and they still didn't fit. I had to cut off all the fingers which kinda ruined the point. Like...I just payed $34 for gloves from Urban Outfitters and the fingers are still kinda long but I'm gonna wear them anyway because they're the sex (picture soon to be uploaded).

Fourth:
I haven't used Pandora Radio in a long time but now that I'm using it again, I keep seeing the same ad all over the place for Trojan Fire & Ice Condoms. Pandora, thank you for believing in safe sex and not just the Dollar Menu at McDonald's. Oh, and for playing The Shins and Kate Nash one after the other.
